Orchard and Vineyard Pruning Shears and Harvesting Tools

Orchard and vineyard pruning tools are chosen by task and branch diameter: bypass pruning shears for live canes and shoots up to 20mm, ratchet pruners for old wood up to 24mm, loppers for limbs up to 45mm, long reach pruners for high branches up to 3m, and harvesting shears with 3 to 12mm cutting capacity for fruit and grapes. Winland makes all of these in Taiwan for OEM, private label and wholesale buyers.

Winter Pruning of Fruit Trees and Vines

For dormant pruning of apple, pear, stone fruit and grapevines, use a bypass pruning shear with 20mm cutting capacity such as Professional Garden Hand Pruners 3169 or 3164. For thick, old wood, Ratchet Pruning Shears 3140 cut up to 24mm in three steps with less hand force, and the 3140R rotating handle version reduces wrist strain over a full day of pruning.

Thinning and Summer Pruning

Fruit thinning and summer shoot removal need a light, pointed blade. Curved Blade Fruit Pruners 803A and Long Blade Fruit Pruners 808 cut up to 5mm, for young fruit and soft shoots, and Forged Fruit Trimming Pruners 3124-1 add a forged body for daily commercial use.

Grape and Fruit Harvesting

For cutting grape bunches and fruit stems, Bypass Pruners 807 give a 12mm cut with a short blade, while the 803 series harvesting shears are made for fast one-hand picking. Browse the full harvesting shears and fruit scissors category for straight, curved and stainless steel blade options.

High Branches and Tall Trees

For branches out of reach, Telescopic Bypass Long Reach Pruners 3146AB-1 extend to 3m with a cut and hold clip, and the 3146ABR-1 adds an adjustable angle head. For picking fruit without bruising, the Extendable Fruit Picker Pole 3146AD reaches up to 3.1m.

Thick Limbs

Limbs up to 45mm are cut with Bypass Loppers 7115 or, for dead wood, Anvil Loppers 7115-1. Anything thicker is a job for a pruning saw.
